In today's lesson, we explore the different ways of using over head projector, torchlight, visualiser and shadow play to create different activities to teach children. Watching these activities made me realised that an activity could be done simply using recyclables and simple technology. These technology not only made learning fun but it reaches out to children with differing knowledge about the theme you might be teaching. The activity that captivated me was the one which used the properties of shadow play to create a "magic-like" teaching. After reading the NAEYC article, I reflected on how much technology should be used in class. Technology has become part of every child's life, however, the amount of time children spent on technology should be moderated. Especially, with younger children. All in all, we have to remember that all children has to be given equal opportunities to interact, use and learn technology in their classroom.

Hi Jing Xun! The presentation on the various ways to integrate technology into lessons was also an eye-opener for me too. I learnt that as educators, we do not need to have fancy or expensive technology for our lessons. As long as we are innovative, simple technologies can also be used to make lessons fun.
